For medicolegal case (MLC)

Call is sent to Casualty officer along with file

MLC stamp on is put on the Casualty paper and Indoor paper .

In antenatal ward

Community Development Officer (MSW) reference is made (Number 60).

Forensic Medicine reference is made if indicated.

Routine antenatal investigations are done.

Investigations are done to rule out STDs.

After delivery
| |
Cord blood and mother's blood samples are sent for DNA analysis if required.

Mother is shifted to PPS Ward.

File is kept with staff.
| |
Suppression of lactation is done (if indicated).

Baby kept as extra baby in postnatal ward, to be looked after by staff nurse.

Community Development Officer (MSW) reference is sent.

CDO contacts IAPA (Indian Association for Promotion of Adoption) or FSC (Family Service Centre).

At discharge check

Baby's adoption work is complete.
| |
Mother's is fit for disharge.
